Refrain from making incorrect or misleading statements about other realty experts. Do not interfere in another realtor's legal relationships.

The word "Realtor" is always capitalized, as the term has been trademarked by the National Association of Realtors. This is one nominal distinction in between Real estate agent and agent, though it can be valuable to keep in mind. In 1916, the NAR coined the term "Realtor" as a way for members to differentiate themselves from non-members, later obtaining a copyright and hallmark in 1950.
