Role of the nurse in assistance to intestinal stoma people: an integrative review / Papel do enfermeiro na assistência às pessoas estomizadas intestinais: revisão integrativa / Papel del enfermero en la asistencia a las personas estomizadas intestinales..
Resumo
Objetivo: identificar o papel do enfermeiro na assistência às pessoas estomizadas intestinais. Metodologia: revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada nas bases de dados SciELO, PubMed, BDENF e LILACS, no período de fevereiro a maio de 2017, com recorte temporal de 2012 a 2016, utilizando os descritores: Estomia (Ostomy); Papel do enfermeiro (Role of the Nurse); Cuidados de Enfermagem (Nursing Care), totalizando 22 artigos. A questão norteadora foi: “Quais evidências estão produzidas na literatura científica sobre o papel do enfermeiro na assistência às pessoas estomizadas intestinais?”. Resultados: a atuação do enfermeiro ocorre desde a admissão do paciente ao pós-operatório tardio, perpassando todo o processo reabilitatório com ações de educação em saúde, estímulo ao autocuidado e apoio emocional. Nessa perspectiva, o enfermeiro tem atribuições que perpassam os cuidados laborais (técnicos) e assume a conduta relacional com o paciente, de forma holística. Conclusão: assim, o profissional desenvolve estratégias que intervém na autoaceitação e reinserção social, considerando as peculiaridades de cada sujeito e direcionando-o a ter uma vida com autonomia.
