Resumo
Objetivo: caracterizar o perfil sociodemográfico e o cuidado à saúde na percepção de homens usuários de uma Unidade de Atenção Primária à Saúde de um município da Zona da Mata Mineira. Metodologia: estudo transversal, descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem quantitativa. Os dados foram apresentados por frequência absoluta e relativa. Resultados: predominaram ensino fundamental completo, católicos, renda entre um e cinco salários mínimos, empregados, e em supremacia nas empresas privadas. A Hipertensão Arterial e a Diabetes Mellitus foram as doenças mais prevalentes. A maioria dos participantes relataram que procuram o serviço de saúde pelo menos uma vez ao ano, porém em minoria nas Unidades de Atenção Primária à Saúde. Os fatores que mais dificultam a procura pelos serviços de saúde foram o trabalho e as questões burocráticas dos serviços. Conclusão: os usuários apresentaram baixa adesão aos serviços de saúde da atenção primária, relacionando isso à incompatibilidade com o horário de trabalho e à burocracia dos serviços.
